WHIMSICAL FLOWER FIELD MATERNITY SESSION: KRISTIAN & KAYE 09.07.2025

One photoshoot location that’s been on my photographer bucket list for a while is a flower field—colorful, peaceful and majestic. And I used to think I would need to travel far in order to find a place that matches that vision. So I was pleasantly surprised to hear from my sister about a local farm here in Maryland that was holding a flower festival for people to enjoy the winding down of summer! On one September weekend at Summers Farm, I got to do a very special maternity session for my sister and my brother-in-law who are welcoming their first baby in December. (And to quote Diane Lane in Under the Tuscan Sun, “I’m going to be an auntie! I’m going to be AN AUNTIE!”) It truly was a magical atmosphere, being surrounded by vibrant and blooming flowers and with the sun shining so brightly. It was the perfect background to celebrate such a joyful milestone. We can’t wait to welcome you into the world, Baby KK!
